Clint Godfrey (born October 21, 1982) is an American mixed martial artist. He currently fights in WEC's bantamweight division.
Godfrey was defeated in his WEC debut against former International Fight League featherweight champion Wagnney Fabiano at WEC 46.[1] Godfrey was an injury replacement for Frank Gomez.[2]
Godfrey was expected to face WEC newcomer Renan Barão on June 20, 2010 at WEC 49, but was forced off the card with an injury.[3]
Godfrey was expected to face Demetrious Johnson on September 30, 2010 at WEC 51.[4] However, Godfrey was forced off the card with an injury and replaced by WEC newcomer Nick Pace.[5]
Godfrey was defeated via first round submission by highly touted WEC newcomer Michael McDonald on November 11, 2010 at WEC 52.[6]
Following his second straight WEC loss Godfrey was cut from the promotion. He competed next at The Cage Inc.: Battle at the Border 8 where he defeated Charlie Dubray by submission (rear-naked choke) in the first round.[7]
